The man found fatally injured with a suspected stab wound in a Bray park yesterday evening was due to become a father, a person who knows him well has said.

William ‘Willie’ Moorehouse (35), with an address at the Half Moon Halting Site at Windgates, between Bray and Greystones in Co Wicklow, was discovered in an area of a park close to a playground at around 6pm.

Efforts to resuscitate him by locals and the emergency services at the scene on Boghall Road, Ballywaltrim, were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
